OSCAR winner Jennifer Lawrence showcased her jaw-dropping 5-carat engagement ring while she attended Christian Dior’s Paris Fashion Week show yesterday.
The 28-year-old confirmed her engagement with art gallery director Cooke Maroney, 33, earlier this month after eight months of dating.
Joy actress Jennifer previously showcased a modest diamond ring, which featured a slim gold band, as she celebrated the milestone with her financé at New York’s il Buco Italian restaurant three weeks ago.
And now the screen siren sported an emerald cut diamond ring, which is believed to cost an estimated £150,000, while she posed for photos in a grey mini dress ahead of her FROW appearance.
Gemologist Grant Mobley spoke to Elle.com about the eye-catching ring and said that it was a four to five carat diamond set in a “platinum four prong solitaire mounting with a petite band.”
He said: “The beauty of a classic mounting like this is that the center diamond is the main focus and can get all of the attention.”
“Because there are no other stones or embellishments on the ring at all, you can tell that the natural center diamond was the most important part of this ring for the couple.
“A natural centre diamond of that quality and size would be close to $200,000 (£150,000), and because large, natural diamonds are growing increasingly rare, this ring will definitely retain its value over time.”
The formal debut of her ring comes three weeks after she confirmed her engagement to Cooke.
The Hunger Games star kept the relationship under wraps but was previously spotted with a “massive” ring on her finger, with her representative confirming the news.
An eyewitness saw the actress in New York and told Page Six: “It was a giant rock. They seemed like they were celebrating and people were talking about it. The ring was very noticeable.
“They were sitting back in a corner. She was wearing a cute black dress with white polka dots.”
The pair are thought to have been dating since the spring and were seen on a dinner date back in June in New York City, with rumours of their relationship swirling ever since.
About two months after confirming they jetted to Paris for a few days and were seen holding hands.
Previously, sources claimed the Red Sparrow actress was “happy” in her romance with the New York art gallery director.
A source said: “They [were] super cuddly throughout dinner – very affectionate and comfortable with each other.
“She’s really happy. She has nothing to hide. This seems like the real deal.”
Cooke works at New York’s Gladstone Gallery, which represents artists including Lena Dunham’s dad, Carroll Dunham, as well as Richard Prince, Anish Kapoor, and Bjork’s ex, Matthew Barney.
He is known on the art scene and previously worked at the prestigious Gagosian gallery.

A source added: “They met through Jen’s friend Laura … But they have been very private and careful not to be seen together.”
Jennifer was introduced to Cooke by her pal Laura Simpson.
The Hollywood siren was previously romantically linked to director, Darren Aronofsky, Coldplay’s Chris Martin and dated her X-Men co-star Nicholas Hoult.
