When is Paris Fashion Week?

Paris Fashion Week is one of the four major fashion events that take place around the world each year.

The other three cities that make up the “Big Four” alongside London are New York, Milan and London.

Paris shows kicked off on Monday, February 25 2019 at 5.30pm local time, with the first showcase by Rokh, the brainchild of Korean-born designer Rok Hwang.

Shows will take place daily from 9.30am until 8.30pm, with the final catwalk by Louis Vuitton at 6pm on Tuesday March 5.

What are the most anticipated shows for this year?

The unveiling of Karl Lagerfeld’s final Chanel collection and Lanvin’s return to the Paris runways are among the most highly anticipated events of the week.

The final day of Paris Fashion Week will see Chanel pay homage to Lagerfeld, who died on February 19, 2019, by showcasing his final collection overseen by his protégé and successor Virginie Viard.

The farewell show will be held exactly two weeks after Lagerfeld’s death.

French fashion house Lanvin will return to the Paris runway scene on February 27, 2019, with new Creative Director Bruno Sialelli at its helm.

The show will also be a first for the label following its acquisition by Chinese conglomerate Fosun International.

US label Tommy Hilfiger will be taking it’s “See Now, Buy Now” ready to wear show to Paris Fashion Week for 2019 – it is also the first time the brand has held a show at PFW.

The brand will debut a Spring 2019 capsule collection developed in collaboration with American actress and singer Zendaya, and will take to the stage on March 2.

The runway looks will be immediately available for purchase at Tommy retail stores, online stores and partner stores worldwide.
