BEN CHILWELL defended his dress sense as ferociously as he does the Chelsea goal.

The left-back drew light-hearted stick from England pal Jack Grealish this week after being pictured in an outlandish blue and white diamond print tank top — with nothing underneath.

Some might think Jack Grealish has questions to answer himself as he’s known for the occasional brash fashion statement, such as modelling this footwear[/caption]

Chilwell, 27, said of his London Fashion Week look: “It was controversial but you have to stand out.

“I didn’t want to fit in. I wanted to wear something more ‘out there’.

“Show my personality a little bit. It was obviously in Chelsea colours as well.

“So, yes, it was a good evening and, personally, I liked my outfit.”

Chilwell was on duty as an ambassador for fashion house Burberry and insists he has no regrets.

But Manchester City star Grealish joked: “Tell Chilly to keep his jacket on next time.”

The fashion bashin’ comes as Chilwell prepares to swap his battle from what to wear to how to win silverware.

Chelsea face Liverpool in Sunday’s Carabao Cup final – targeting their first trophy since Champions League glory in 2021.

And Blues’ supremo Todd Boehly is flying in to watch their first cup final since he took over the club nearly two years ago.

The American was last seen at a Chelsea game on January 13, a 1-0 home Premier League victory over Fulham.

Boehly’s predecessor, Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich, missed the club’s previous seven Wembley trips after failing to have his UK visa renewed.

That meant he was not on the scene for Chelsea’s most recent domestic trophy triumph – the 1-0 FA Cup final win over Manchester United in May 2018.
